1/7

Today we went over the notes we took from yesterday. Then we watched parts 2, 3, and part of 4. Here are the notes i took from the movie:

  • In villages in New Guinea they eat a type of plant called sago
  • A group of researchers were studying the oldest village called Drah and looking for its remains.
  • Drah was made around 11,000 years ago
  • There was the worlds oldest grainery where they stored wheat and barley
  • Also they started growing there own wheat and barley which made hem the first farmers.
  • When they take seeds from plants and plant them it is called domestication
  • In china rice was naturally growing there
  • In the Americas corn, squash, and beans naturally grow there
  • In Africa there was Sorghum, millet and yams
  • In New Guinea people have been farming there for the last 10,000 years
